Frequently Asked Questions
Sweat testing can detect a wide range of drugs, including cannabis (THC), cocaine, methamphetamines, opiates, and more. The specific drugs detectable depend on the testing panel on the cartridge.
A small, tamper-evident drug screening cartridge quickly collects ten fingerprint sweat samples, which are then analyzed in our DSR-Plus reader for precise on-screen results in minutes. Find out more here.
Our drug screening device tests for “fitness for duty” on the day and has a detection window of 16-24 hours. The detection window for drugs in sweat can vary depending on factors such as the drug’s half-life, the individual’s metabolism, and the specific testing method.
Sweat drug screening is considered highly accurate and has comparable performance characteristics to saliva and urine.
External factors, such as temperature, humidity, and physical activity, can influence sweat production. However, our screening method is designed to account for these variables and ensure accurate results.
Yes, sweat screening is suitable for post-accident and reasonable suspicion testing, as it can provide insights into recent drug use within the defined detection window.
Sample collection takes <1 min. Results are displayed in up to 10 minutes if you are conducting a single test as it takes approximately this long for the chemical reaction to take place once the sweat samples are collected.
However, there is a batch test functionality that can reduce the time per test to <3 min.
Comprehensive training of application and collection of specimens is delivered by Intelligent Bio Solutions. Virtual and in person delivery options are available. The training and certification for collection of specimens by sweat will allow nominated personnel to administer sweat drug screening for your organization.

Yes, non-negative screening test results may be verified using our back-to-lab confirmation service, provided by an independent, accredited laboratory. Our fingerprint collection kit for laboratory analysis is used to collect and return two sets of fingerprint samples for laboratory testing.
Testing and record keeping processes comply with applicable privacy legislation. All drug testing is performed in an area appropriate for the testing type to ensure the outcome is only known to the person and authorised tester, and not those waiting to be tested.
Results from laboratory confirmation are emailed directly by our partner laboratory to the nominated contact at your organisation with a unique password to download the results.
