The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) hosted in Sydney, Australia, last week was a great success for Intelligent Bio Solutions as it showcased its innovative sweat-based drug screening solution to over 8500 attendees and 800 plus mining companies that came together from all over the globe.
Over the past decade, IMARC has evolved into a leading platform for the global mining industry. The Sydney International Convention Centre (ICC) was transformed into a dynamic exhibition space of over 470 exhibitors and a meeting ground for industry leaders, innovators, and collaborators to learn and share knowledge on mining, safety, and innovation.
In attendance were some of the most influential players in the mining industry, including BHP, Anglo American, and Agnico Eagle Mines. Also present were exhibitors representing the governments of Australia, Germany, Canada, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Peru, India, and Chile, emphasizing the global scope of the event. More than 40% of attendees were C-suite and executives.
The company’s fingerprint drug screening solution was of keen interest to professionals across the exploration and production sector, safety consulting, and medical services labor hire, with Australian state government bodies showing their enthusiasm for the product. Of particular interest to many in attendance was the system’s 16-hour window of detection, focusing on ‘fitness for duty’ at the time of testing, in addition to its dignified and non-invasive collection method.
Peter Passaris, Vice President of Sales and Operations at Intelligent Bio Solutions, said, ‘We have seen tremendous value in attending the IMARC conference. One of our key goals for this conference was to increase awareness of our company and product across the extensive mining industry. We’ve had great success and received encouraging interest and excitement. While drug screening is not new to people in mining and other sectors, our Intelligent Fingerprint Drug Screening Solution is. We are excited to see it become a game changer for the safety culture of organizations.”
Looking ahead, the company looks to build upon the positive momentum generated so far and explore other opportunities to further promote its solution.
